Fluid NC
Product Description
Hello skate family. Fluid is the name and I'm from and currently live in NC. I've been a very active skater since I was a little boy but got my first pair of skates in December of 2006. That first pair was the Riedell American. A very popular skate package still bought and used by many skaters today. I changed my Sure grip plate to a Snyder Imperial Deluxe in early 2009 and that plate worked very well for me. I met Alex through his site sometime that summer and we began to talk about skates. He explained to me in great detail about the Edea boots and Roll Line plates and after a few months of making up my mind(because neither brand is cheap :-D ) I decided to purchase an Edea Classica on a Roll Line Ring Professional. Due to some difficulties with Edea, I finally got my set up in March during Rolling in the Carolinas. That boot, oh that boot was the best feeling thing I've ever put on my foot. I encased my foot like a latex glove that was just a lil too small but was far from uncomfortable. I was in love with it before I stood up. The plate unfortunately took several weeks to get use to. I had to tighten all the trucks completely and using the click action adjustment, I loosened each truck the exact same amount about every week and a half. Now, I feel like a new skater 6 months later. The boot still feels great. Plenty of support and very light and the plate is so responsive and light. The set up really makes me more aggressive on the floor. Not only does it feel and handle nicely, it looks great also. I get a lot of compliments on my skates.
As of May of this year, I had to change up my Open House(sliding) skate as well. Going from the Edea boot to a Riedell boot, just to slide in wasn't the easiest thing to do. The difference in the shape of the boots heels had me feeling like I was falling backwards when I would put on the Riedell. I decided to purchase an Edea Preludio on a Roll Line Variant plate. The stability, support and responsiveness of the boot and plate compared to my old sliding skate was a world of difference. I've since doubled the distances on my slides in the old skate. I'll never go back to a Riedell again. People talk about break in time. As far as I can remember, I didn't break in anything, I just had to adjust and get use to my plate. It's like the boot was tailor made and I never had any uncomfortable moments dealing with getting used to it. I recommend Edeas to anyone I talk to and as expensive as they are, I let people skate in them just to show them that I'm not just talking. They are the truth and I'll continue to support them. Thank you for your time. :-)
Alex Thanks for everything.
